Your First Visit - Consultation At your first visit, Dr. Frey will complete a comprehensive examination and our experienced staff will take a set of diagnostic records. This information is used in consultation to discuss your unique orthodontic case and develop a custom treatment plan specific to your needs. Complete orthodontics records typically include x-rays, study models, and photos of the patient?s face and teeth. We take pride in helping patients understand what to expect during the course of their orthodontic treatment and will make every effort to answer all of your questions at this initial visit. Your treatment consultation is followed by a financial consultation where we discuss our professional fees, describe our financing options, and electronically verify your insurance benefits. |

Treatment Conferences In certain cases, a more detailed analysis of the diagnostic records may be necessary after the initial consultation. In these situations, Dr. Frey may recommend a treatment conference to discuss the case in more detail or to help patients and parents fully understand the options they have available to them during treatment. Treatment conferences are frequently recommended in complicated cases where several choices exist and decisions need to be made regarding the course, timing or progress of treatment. Regular Appointments In our office, patients are generally seen every 6-8 weeks for adjustments. During these visits, which typically take 20-30 minutes, we may change archwires, work on closing spaces, or check on your rubber band wear. At certain times during treatment, we may need longer visits to do more work on your appliances. Examples of longer visits include; initial placement of the braces, removal of the braces, repositioning of brackets, repair of broken brackets, or the addition of brackets to previously unbonded teeth. While we make every effort to provide convenient scheduling options, certain appointment types are limited to specific times during each day and often fill up quickly. If you find you are unable to make a scheduled appointment, please notify us in advance so that we may make your appointment time available to others. Payment & Office Policies Cost We appreciate that you value quality service and a beautiful smile. Orthodontic treatment is an investment in the future. A straight smile helps build confidence and self-esteem and can have a powerful impact on social and emotional development at any age. As a result, we want orthodontics to be affordable to everyone. Orthodontic fees depend on the severity of the patient?s problem, type of appliance used to straighten the teeth and the length of time in treatment. Your specific treatment fee, insurance coverage, and financing options will be discussed in detail during your Financial Consultation. Financial Policies In an effort to keep orthodontic fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established this financial policy:
While we are not a participating provider under any insurance program, we accept all insurance plans. We will electronically verify your insurance coverage, and submit all necessary paperwork to help you claim your benefits. For your convenience, we ask that you assign your insurance benefits to our office and we will handle the collection and processing of those funds on your behalf. Insurance is a contract between a patient and the policy holder. As a healthcare service provider, we are not part of that agreement. Professional services are provided to you, our patient, and not an insurance company. Therefore, the insurance companies are responsible to the patient and the patient is responsible to the healthcare provider. Any contract balance, not covered by insurance is the sole responsibility of the patient or parent. |
